What is Orientation?
Northeastern University offers a wide variety of orientation programming for all new and incoming Fall 2021 students. These events are a great way to connect with peers, faculty, and staff, discover campus resources and learn all about your degree while providing you with a smooth transition into Northeastern University. We can’t wait to meet the next group of Huskies from all over the world!
Husky Card and Welcome Kit Pick Up Times
From Tuesday, September 14 – Wednesday, September 15, the Toronto campus team will be handing out student Husky cards, elevator cards and welcome kits in a timely manner scheduled by last name and program. Husky cards are mandatory for all students, staff and faculty to enter campus space. All students will need to complete a Daily Wellness Check and sign-in prior to entering the campus.

Note: By September 7, 2021, all students, faculty, contractors, volunteers and staff at the Toronto campus will be expected to submit proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please click here to learn more.
Student Services and Activities Fair
On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. EDT, there is an interactive virtual event for all new students looking to learn more about Student Life and the NU Toronto Student Interest Groups! You will meet the Associate Director of Student Services, Stephanie Cochrane, and Executive Officers from both NUPM Toronto (our Project Management Student Organization) and NURA Toronto Community (our Regulatory Affairs Student Organization). You will have the opportunity to ask questions, play games, and network with other new students who may be interested in joining or starting a Student Interest Group (SIG) for the Toronto campus.
Northeastern Toronto New Student Orientation
We are pleased to invite you to attend the New Student Orientation at Northeastern University—Toronto on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EDT. The aim of this event is to give you the information that you need to succeed as a student at Northeastern’s Toronto campus. Incoming students will hear from representatives of the Toronto campus, Academic Advising, Library Services, Student Financial Services, and more.
Topics to be covered include but are not limited to:
- Campus Hours, Access, and Safety
- Student Services
- Academic Advising Resources
- Co-op and Career Services
- Tuition Payments
- Global Learner Support (GLS)
- Health and Wellness
- Academic Integrity
You will have an opportunity to ask questions on these topics, and anything else you might be wondering about.
The last hour of the orientation event will be devoted to issues of concern to international students specifically. Domestic students can therefore expect to sign off at 11:00 a.m.

Project Management Student Orientation
We are pleased to invite you to attend our Project Management Online Student Orientation on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. EDT. This session will be led by Adel Zadeh, an associate teaching professor in the PJM program, with support from the Toronto Academic and Career Advisors, and will provide a deeper look at the PJM program map, concentrations, resources, and more.
College of Professional Studies (CPS) Student Orientation
We are pleased to invite you to attend our CPS Student Orientation on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. EDT. This session will be led by staff and faculty in CPS. More details to come.
