The Cross-Cultural Story of Three Chinese Women Aviators

7:30 PM EST

Patti Gully, independent researcher and writer, and Songyu Lin, senior editor of Flowercity Publishing House, talk about how Sisters of Heaven: China’s Barnstorming Aviatrixes was introduced to China and enthusiastically received by Chinese readers, with a film adaptation on the way. This virtual event is part of Vancouver Public Library’s Chinese/Canadian Writing series on identity and purposes of cross-cultural writing, the diverse nature of Chinese/Canadian writing, and bridging different territories through languages, history, and imagination. The event will be moderated by Shuyu Kong, Professor of Simon Fraser University.
