Director Career Development and Experiential Learning

The Director, Career Development and Experiential will lead a team of student facing co-op and career advisors and will be accountable for building and executing a best-in-class strategy to ensure career readiness for all students at the Toronto campus. This includes the design and delivery of career development and experiential learning programming related to networking, cover letter writing, job search, workplace skills development, resume building, mock interview prep, job readiness, etc.

Reporting to the Associate Dean at the Toronto campus, the focus of this position is planning, developing, and overseeing the delivery of career development programs (full time, coop, experiential learning) for all students at the Toronto campus.

Student Services Specialist

The Student Services Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all campus learners. Assisting learners with a broad range of issues, the Student Services Specialist will develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of offices and functional areas across the university and will be able to mobilize university resources and support effectively in response to student needs at the campus. The Specialist will have a broad knowledge of university resources as well as detailed knowledge of campus operations, programs, and services available through the campus.

Associate Director – Operations

The Associate Director – Operations directs a staff that provides an array of services to the Toronto Campus, including facility and campus operations, safety & security, events, vendor management, purchasing, visitor services, and technology infrastructure. The Associate Director participates in strategic and operational space planning activities, ensuring that the campus infrastructure supports the activities of staff, students, and faculty, as well as the delivery requirements for current and projected academic programs.

Campus Operations Assistant

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the COA will assist with front desk duties and ensure that students and faculty are appropriately set up to conduct classes and support events. The COA will be greeting and checking students in for classes and will respond to requests and questions from current students and faculty all while approaching each encounter in a gracious, attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

At least one year of responsible administrative support experience in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment or relative combination of education and experience required. High degree of proficiency with MS Suite Office, Outlook, InDesign, Power Point, website, and database management. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends. Teaching Assistant – Analytics

Northeastern University -Toronto is looking for a teaching assistant to help students in introductory courses in analytics. TA’s responsibilities may consist of the following:

-Attend course meetings and respond promptly to emails from the instructor.
-Be approachable, helpful, and familiar with the course content and assignments.
-Hold office hours and/or monitor an online discussion forum.
-Conduct tutorials or review sessions.
-Be prepared to answer questions about assignments and test questions.
-Discuss questions about the assignments with the course instructor as needed.
-Provide sufficient feedback. Ensure that your comments are tactful and constructive.
-Report any suspected academic integrity issues to the course instructor.

Time commitment is 5 hours per week for a 6-week course, with possibilities for renewal. The ideal candidate is currently enrolling in a Ph.D. program in a quantitative field.
