Associate Dean
Located at our downtown Toronto campus and under the direction of the Regional CEO & Dean, the Associate Dean serves as a key member of the senior leadership team who is the second in command to the CEO/Dean and responsible for oversight and guidance of various functions including: academic program delivery, compliance/regulatory matters, faculty affairs, program innovation and research, student services, and career services.
This critical role will work closely with the CEO/Dean and various other leaders both in Toronto and across the university to grow and position the campus as a strong asset in the region and across Northeastern’s Global University System. The Associate Dean will lead the vision and delivery of various initiatives designed to promote innovation and strengthen brand. They will partner with the College Deans, Associate Deans, Program Directors and other stakeholders (Enrollment Management, Office of Global Services, Legal/Compliance, Registrar, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting etc.) to ensure the successful delivery of programs and an exceptional student experience. The Associate Dean will also serve as a lead for innovating new programs and initiatives in collaboration with the academic colleges and the regional network. The Associate Dean will work closely with the CEO/Dean to build, contribute to, and monitor strategic plans and other related projects that enhance and support the mission of the Campus.
The Associate Dean will be a seasoned leader who knows how to inspire a team and has a track record of developing talent. The ideal candidate must be able to think strategically and “connect the dots” but is also someone with a high level of personal accountability who is willing to get into the weeds, if needed, to solve complex and nuanced problems. Global Learner Support Specialist
Reporting to the Director, Global Learner Support, the Global Learner Support Specialist provides language, cultural, and academic support to international and domestic students enrolled at the Regional Campus. The key responsibilities associated with this role include organizing and leading cultural programming, planning and delivering workshops, leading English language tutorials, teaching non-credit courses, recruiting staff and student volunteers to lead workshops and other student events, and publicizing student events. The Global Learner Support Specialist will collaborate as a member of the Regional Campus’ student services team and will also work with colleagues at other locations in Northeastern’s global campus network to ensure students have access, where appropriate, to programming originating on other campuses. Career Services and Co-op Advisor
Under the direction of the Director of Cooperative Education and Employer Engagement in the College of Professional Studies (CPS) and the Director of Career Services at the Toronto Campus, the Career Services and Co-Op Advisor will create and implement career programming, networking opportunities, and co-op advising and administration for CPS learners, including work authorization paperwork, and collaboration with Employer Engagement and Career Design and the Office of Global Services. This individual is responsible for assisting students in securing appropriate cooperative education experiences across a variety of academic programs. This role will advise and coach students individually and in groups throughout the job search and application process, with a focus on topics related to career development and co-op employment search, including resume and cover letter development and review, interview techniques, and effective job search strategies.
The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences and maintain confidentiality around complex and sensitive issues for the purposes of compliance with applicable federal (Canada and US), provincial, and state laws, as well as Northeastern guidelines. Apply now.
OGS Customer Service and Operations Assistant
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of International Student Services (Canada), the OGS Customer Service and Operations Assistant (CSOPS-OGS Canada) supports the OGS Canada team by providing customer service, operational/logistics and administrative support to the OGS Canada team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, providing support for in-person and online events and activities organized and hosted by OGS Canada, including working with Toronto and Vancouver Campus Operations and Marketing teams to provide technical support in booking, and setting up physical space, or creating online meetings including working with the Marketing team to ensure promotional collateral is branded appropriated, and invitation and registration lists are updated and monitored. Additionally, the CSOPS will provide support for student staff assisting with their onboarding and ongoing training. The CSOPS will maintain up to date files and forms on study permit tracking, and document collection and storage. They will liaise with the campus Arrivals Team to provide support and guidance to international students arriving to study at a Canadian Campus and will update and maintain current process documents and workflow charts and monitor and update the OGS Canada webpages as policies and processes change. Teaching Assistant – Analytics
Northeastern University -Toronto is looking for a teaching assistant to help students in introductory courses in analytics. TA’s responsibilities may consist of the following:
-Attend course meetings and respond promptly to emails from the instructor.
-Be approachable, helpful, and familiar with the course content and assignments.
-Hold office hours and/or monitor an online discussion forum.
-Conduct tutorials or review sessions.
-Be prepared to answer questions about assignments and test questions.
-Discuss questions about the assignments with the course instructor as needed.
-Provide sufficient feedback. Ensure that your comments are tactful and constructive.
-Report any suspected academic integrity issues to the course instructor.
Time commitment is 5 hours per week for a 6-week course, with possibilities for renewal. The ideal candidate is currently enrolling in a Ph.D. program in a quantitative field.
