Northeastern University – Toronto

Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global research university and the recognized leader in experience-powered lifelong learning. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus.

Our locations—in Boston; the Massachusetts communities of Burlington and Nahant; Charlotte, North Carolina; London; the San Francisco Bay Area; Seattle; Toronto; and Vancouver—are nodes in our growing global university system. Through this network, we expand opportunities for student-centered, industry-aligned learning and collaborative, solutions-focused research.

Northeastern’s downtown Toronto campus currently offers three online Master of Science programs that are in high demand among local employers—Project Management; Cybersecurity; and Regulatory Affairs for Drugs, Biologics, and Medical Devices. Tailored to Toronto’s needs as a world economic center, these degree programs offer working professionals a clear path to advancing their careers while staying with their current organizations: the flexibility of online education combined with the outstanding faculty, academic resources, and program support of a leading U.S. research institution.

Ontario Chamber of Commerce

For more than a century, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has been the independent, non-partisan voice of Ontario business.

The OCC’s mission is to support economic growth in Ontario by promoting business priorities at Queen’s Park on behalf of its diverse network of 60,000 members. The OCC’s vision is to foster a vibrant and economically sustainable province that is driven by an innovative, successful, and ever-expanding business community.

From innovative SMEs to established multinational corporations and industry associations, the OCC is committed to working with its members to improve business competitiveness across all sectors. The OCC represents local chambers of commerce and boards of trade in more than 135 communities across Ontario, steering public policy conversations provincially and within local communities.

Northeastern University-Gallup Survey

The report is the product of a series of more than 10,000 web surveys conducted in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom between April 25 and June 4, 2019, as well as interviews of chief human resources officers at 10 large corporations based in these countries. The surveys measured perceptions of the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs, as well as what education choices respondents would make in response and their confidence in higher education, government and business in planning for widespread AI adoption.
